PlatPhorm API

FAQ

Answers about PlatPhorm API identity, public access, protected actions, OpenContent, Podcasts, gateway policy, MCP, and no-fake-data behavior.

Is this Echo?

No. Echo is a cataloged integration for content analytics. api.platphormnews.com is PlatPhorm API, the API front door and system of record.

Can I read the catalog without a key?

Yes. Public-safe catalog, docs, OpenAPI, schemas, recipes, governance, parity, health, discovery files, and read-only MCP introspection are public.

What requires PLATPHORM_API_KEY?

Mutations, registry sync, protected downstream calls, report generation with sensitive data, SDK publishing, webhook triggering, private audit logs, private traces, and admin jobs.

Are OpenContent and Podcasts real products here?

Yes. They are first-class API products. Their live downstream OpenAPI/MCP status is marked degraded until a registry sync verifies it.

Does the gateway proxy arbitrary URLs?

No. Gateway calls must reference registered service/operation IDs and pass trusted-domain, auth, redaction, timeout, and runtime-mode checks.
